In the process, they get embroiled in a deadly conspiracy hatched by a megalomaniac with his own connection to the Benaami. Happy reading.
Thriller is one genre of writing, where one needs to clearly mark the difference between exciting and confusing. For a debut such as Benaami, Anish Sarkar has got the difference right in place. For a topic as confusing as past coming back to affect present, Sarkar has a lucid style of writing. Benaami is set in 1857-mutiny era and the modern times at the same time. The lead in the book struggles to find out why he has been dreaming of British era memories and what relation does it have with him.
